Greater Sudbury Police recently acquired a transit bus from the city. But you won't find an officer driving the 44-passenger coach bus.
The bus will be used by tactical unit officers in training exercises. The tactical unit trains using a variety of methods, locations and tools, said a report prepared for the police board.
The team trains in simulated exercises to create real-life situations. The 1988 bus is worth about $7,000.
