Does anyone know what happened to the Copper Penny that was once located at the Big Nickel Mine?

With the ongoing devaluation of the dollar, the penny has essentially become useless, except as a way of adding uneeded balast to our pockets. IOW, something to get rid of rather than hoard. Perhaps the "Big Penny" suffered a similar fate:)

Yes it did. I forgot to post my findings. It was decided by the CEO of Science North that the Big Penny, Dime and Half Dollar no longer fit into the game plan of Science North. They were dismantled and destroyed. Amazing silly but true. They would've made great monuments elsewhere in the city.

Not to mention they would have made great griddles for that annual pancake breakfast
